In this way, Hiranyakashipu tried many measures to kill Prahlad, but none of them succeeded. One whose mind is fixed on God, who sees the merciful Lord everywhere, how can that all-powerful Lord allow even the slightest harm to him?
Slowly, Hiranyakashipu started feeling afraid. He started thinking that this little child might become the cause of his death. On the advice of the Guru, he sent Prahlad back to the Guru’s house. Prahlad used to study the education and knowledge given to him by his Guru in the Guru's house, but his mind was not focused on it.
When the Guru would be busy with Hermitage work, Prahlad would call his classmates. On the one hand, Prahlad was a prince, on the other hand he was very humble and affectionate to everyone; Therefore, all the children would stop playing and gather near him when he called. Prahladji used to explain to those children with great love - "Brothers! This birth is not worth wasting in vain. If God is not found in this life, it will be a great loss. Home, man, woman, kingdom, wealth etc. they only give sorrow. By getting attached to them, one has to go to hell. There is happiness and peace only in removing the mind from the vices of the senses. The best way to attain God can be in this youthful state only. When you grow up, you get married, one gets attached to son, wife, wealth etc. and what can one do in one's old age? There is no great effort in attaining God. He resides in the heart of all of us. He is present in all living beings, hence no living being should be harmed by our actions or by us. Mind should always be focused on God.
